Basketball Leagues

The Fieldhouse offers leagues throughout the entire year to accommodate all the teams that want to keep a ball in their hands. We will normally open registration for the upcoming leagues about 2 weeks after the previous session starts. DAYS OF PLAY

Winter Session

January - Early March :  progressive fees... starting with $275 and if space ending with $400   ***

  • This is an 8 game session for K1 - 8th grade Boys and Girls (mid-session entry available for JH but must register by Dec deadline)
  • We will have 8 league games and a play off option for the top 3 or 4 teams of each division.
  • This session will have 4 divisions
  • Games start first week of January and go through Mid-March
  • K1 - 2nd ... Monday with a back up of Sunday (noon - 6pm)
    3rd - 4th ... Tuesday with a back up of Mondays & Sundays (noon - 6pm)
    5th - 6th ... Fridays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with a back up of Sundays (noon - 6pm)
    7th - 8th ... Wednesdays with a back up of Mondays

Spring Session

April - May :  

  • This is a 8 game session for K1 - 8th grade Boys and Girls
  • This session will have 3 divisions
  • Games start first week of April and go to the end of May

HIGH SCHOOL SPRING _ April - May :    ***

  • This is a 8 game session for High School Boys and Girls
  • This session will have 2 divisions (JV & Varsity)
  • Games start early April and go to mid-May, Sunday Double Headers

Summer Session

May - July :    ***

  • This is a 8 game session for K1 - 8th grade Boys and Girls
  • This session will have 3 divisions
  • Games start the last week of May (after Memorial Day)

Back To School Session

August - October   ***

  • This is a 8 game session for K1 - 8th grade Boys and Girls
  • This session will have 3 divisions
  • Games start last week of August and go through the first week of October

High School Pre-Season

September - October   ***

  • This is a 8 game session for High School, Boys and Girls
  • This session will have 2 divisions, JV & Varsity
  • Sunday Double Headers, start mid-September and go to mid-October

Fall Session

October - December :    ***

  • This is a 9/10 game session for K1 - 8th grade Boys and Girls
  • We will have 7 league games and then the final 2-3 games will be scheduled as a tourney, giving teams better competition.
  • This session will have 3 divisions
  • Games start last week of mid-October**we will work around Mighty Mite schedules

Division Identifications:

WINTER 2019 DIVISIONS IDENTIFICATION:

We will have FOUR (4) Divisions for Grades K-1 - 4th grade,  FIVE (5) Divisions for 5th & 6th grades, 2 Divisions for 7th & 8th grades. The divisions are as follows:

K-1 (coed) through 4th grade, boys and girls   - (there is a separate K1 Girls division)

RECREATIONAL - this is for the team that has not played at the Fieldhouse or similar facility. Many times teams that have played together in a community center or church setting would also fit in this category.

SELECT - this is for the team that has been playing at the Fieldhouse or similar facility for awhile but yet experiences defeat in the Recreational from time to time, however seems to dominate a majority of the time. This team also works on defenses and offenses and understands and implements true plays during the game.* previously, this would have been considered an upper recreational/lower intermediate division. 

COMPETITIVE - This is for the team that has been playing at the Fieldhouse or similar facility for awhile and dominates the Recreational division.  This team is a competitive team however does not focus on traveling to tournaments and often doesn't play year 'round. *previously, this would have been considered an upper intermediate/lower competitive division. 

ELITE - This is for the team that has been playing at the Fieldhouse or similar facility for awhile and dominates the Intermediate division. This team continually practices and plays year 'round and sometimes considers themselves a 'travel' team. 

5th & 6th grade will have the above divisions and we will add the following:

SCHOOL - This division is for the teams that have ALL PLAYERS that attend the same school or will attend the same feeder school (ex: they might have players from different elementary schools but all will feed into Kickapoo)  If you have 4 players that attend town A school and 3 players that attend town B school, this would NOT be considered a school team.

MOST OTHER SESSIONS: 2018 AND PREVIOUS...TBD FOR FUTURE. 

Recreational – This division is usually those players who haven’t played or maybe they have played at a local community center or church where the teams were chosen by a ‘drawing’ method.  These teams/players are continuing to work on basic fundamentals.  If you have already been playing at the Fieldhouse, this division is not for you - if you are a lower age team wanting to play up, you will need to register for the Intermediate division of the older age.  Recreational divisions are for those teams who truly need to work on their fundamentals, many of the teams might have never played before.

 

Intermediate – This division is made up of teams who have been playing together for a few years and maybe a year of that was on the recreational level at the Fieldhouse or comparable facility. These teams/players have a strong grasp of most fundamentals.

 

Competitive – This division is usually made up of teams who have been playing together and stay together all year, many times this team does travel and plays in several tournaments throughout the year. If you are a highly successful traveling team, you might want to consider playing up a grade level to ensure the best competition.

** Please note:  each team is allowed one game change per session, if other games are required to be changed it is up to the coach who needs the change to get with the other teams and make the switch before notifying Tim McKnight otherwise we will have to have a forfeit for that team.  Please make all game requests at the time of registration and we will do our best to accommodate those requests at that time.

*** Effective 2016:  any league fee that is not paid in full will have a $25 late fee added each month that it is late, start the month after the league starts.  

*IF YOU STILL OWE A BALANCE FOR ANY PREVIOUS SESSION, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE MULTI-TEAM DISCOUNT

*$100 deposit due on all team registration, this fee goes towards your league fee however is non-refundable if the schedule has been made and you decide to drop the league. 

*Tax is included in any and all collected league, training, camp fees -

example - league fee = $348.51  tax = $26.49 total league fee is $375.00
